Wild Bird Mini Quiet Book

Wild Bird is an 8 page mini quiet book that is all things cute, colourful and free.  Perfect for keeping little ones entertained at home for quiet time activities, car and plane rides, lap time bonding or when out and about, this quiet book is suitable for the age group 1.5 years to 5 years and grows with the child. 

As part of this quiet book, the child will get to explore velcros, zippers, buttons (magnetic , tich, button & button hole), laces and several clasps that promote tactile  perception and therefore the development of fine motor skills. 

Cover Page:

True to its name, the cover page of the book has a little birdie perched on a tree top. The wing can be moved around for a little peek - a - boo game. You may also choose to introduce the concept of rotation (clockwise and anticlockwise) as the child moves the wings, as well as open, close, up and down. 

Page 1:

Dress the pup! Button on the bow tie!

Here's where the child learns and practises how to button and unbutton. The ears of the pup are movable. 

Page 2:

The super cute, adorable bee that is also a finger puppet is hiding behind the leaves. It is on a velcro hook and loop and can be detached and reattached. Encourage your little one to pop the bee on the finger and pretend play, story tell, sing and rhyme!

Page 3:

Feed the cow. Moo Ba La La! But before you feed the cow, brush him up - ch ch ch ch! Both the flower and tooth brush are on velcro hook and loop and can be attached and reattached.

If you are introducing the brush routine to your child, this is a fun way to start and encourage the practice. 

Page 4:

Feed the fish. Move the buttons under the net fabric, count, sort them into color groups and even work out basic math - addition, subtraction. This is a great page for logic, sequence, order, while also working on the fine motor skills.

Page 5:

Rainbow colored zippers and seven of them! Learn how to zip and unzip, identify colors and introduce concepts like left and right, fast and slow, open and close.

Page 6: 

The bright yellow smiling sun, whose rays are colorful polka ribbons that can be laced and tied into a knot. Count while you lace, focus and finish off by learning to tie a knot!
