An eight page, fairy tale quiet book that features three classic stories - 1) Red Riding Hood 2) Goldilocks and the Three Bears 3) Three Little Pigs. The book contains 11 finger puppets and has wonderfully designed fine motor activities for the child such as learning to zip, button, velcro, solving the maze, lacing, learning to tie a knot, sorting, counting, color matching so on so forth.
The colourful cover page of the magical mushroom village is sure to catch your breath when you hold the book in your hand. Some of these mushroom shaped houses are on a velcro hook and loop and can be pulled apart and re-attached back. This is a great fine motor exercise for the child. What's more, it looks enchanting too!

Red's in the wood in a hood - This is the first story of the book and is undeniably one of the most well known tales of all time. It is read by and known to almost every child in the world , no matter where they are from or which language they speak. What has been translated into many languages, and relentlessly retold, recontextualized and reinterpreted for so many centuries, is now in front of you in two pages of size 8*8 inches , as a gorgeous wordless fabric book. Whether you want this to be a cautionary tale like the traditional version or want to give an easy/ fun spin to it - this is totally up to you!
On these two pages, Little Red Riding Hood meets a helpful wolf in the woods one day. He is so friendly and charming! Will Little Red get her basket of goodies to Granma on time? The woodcutter/hunter is out in the woods too. Will Granma need Red's help? Will Red need the wood cutter's help? Is the wolf really a bad wolf? Play along!
The apples and pears on the trees are detachable velcro pieces and can be detached and reattached. The grass patch has a zipper for some zipper practice. Since children love to find things in unexpected places and small pockets, a white lace is placed inside the grass pocket that can be used for a lacing activity on another page.
The bright yellow hut house surrounded by purple and maroon trees is where Granma lives. It can be opened and closed with velcro hook and loop. A cupboard-like pocket inside the house allows for some hide and seek as well as a storage pocket while the bed is where Granma sleeps. The cap that is worn by the granma also fits the wolf and all the four characters are all finger puppets.
Apples and pears can be plucked from the tree and put into the blue backet, that is placed in the zipper pocket on the back page.
Goldilocks and Three Bears
Three bears, their chairs and bowls with beds up stairs
And a girl with golden locks who enters their home unaware.
The chair colors match the bowl colors match the bed colors match the dress colors! Children can match each of these elements as part of the color match activity. All of the four characters of this story are finger puppets as well and can be popped onto fingers for a fun pretend play! The shelf above the dining table has cute little detachable pieces on velcro - like potted plants, water can, tea pot, cup that can be detached and reattached. Sun and moon pieces in the bedroom point to day and night concept. Three chairs in three different sizes introduces the size concept of big, medium small and ascending and descending order.
Three Little Pigs
Three pigs and the wolf who are the main characters of this story are finger puppets.
The left side page is a labyrinth with the two buttons representing the two little pigs who are finding their way home - one to the house made of hay and one to the house made of sticks. The roofs of both these houses are detachable pieces and can be detached and reattached. The houses are pockets themselves and can hold the pigs in them. On the right page is the stronger house made of stones/bricks. The chimney is where the big bad wolf tries to come through and meets the fire. activity. Colorful ribbons on top are wonderful to touch and feel and can be used for lacing activity.
