Zipper practice on the rain cloud and basic counting with the rain drops. Throw in additional concepts such as up and down, slow and fast, greater than and lesser than.
Page 2 - Flowers and Butterflies
Match the butterfly to its flower. A fun color matching game. Continue counting 1-10.
Page 3 - Rainbow Size Sorting
Identify colors of the rainbow and sequence them according to their size. Ascending to Descending, Open and Close, Day and Night are additional concepts on this page. The sun on a magnetic snap button is designed as a fine motor activity.
Page 4 - Garden Maze
Button flowers that are on different clasps - a fine motor activity. The labyrinth game - move the button around and figure the path from left to right and back. Labyrinths are mindful activities that help the child focus and centre while strengthening their pincer grip.
Page 5 - Animal Habitat
Identify and name the animals and match them to their homes/habitat. Sort them - Air, Land and Water. Pretend Play with them - they make fun finger puppets that you can use for story telling. Finger puppets are great for motor control. Which finger do I move now? Which finger do I bring up and which do I take down?
Page 6 - Ocean Bed
A great page for hand eye coordination. Each fish is of a different shape - identify, learn shapes and introduce their properties. Sea weeds to touch and feel.
Together Page 5 and 6 make a great combination for animals of different habitats.
All of the parts of this book are handmade. At the end of the book is a zipper pocket - a place for everything so there aren't loose pieces to keep track of when putting them away.
