How To Play
Inspired by our homeland and driven by the need to create country specific quiet books, INDIA is an attempt - packed with various learning opportunities for little ones - to celebrate, experience and make new discoveries connected with India.
If you own our "Maps and More" quiet book, which has the world map spread, you can start by teaching the child to locate India on the world map first. Recite a poem or song - maybe even the national anthem and introduce INDIA as you place the quiet book in front of the child for his/her exploration.
The peacock cover page is a delightful color matching game. As you talk about India's national bird, allow the child to match colors and sequence them in the order of colors in a rainbow - VIBGYOR.
Page 1: Discuss the meaning of India's flag and its colors and offer the child an opportunity to practice buttoning skills. Large buttons on elastic make it an achievable task as it is challenging.

Many key learning areas are incorporated in the INDIA quiet book from maths to literacy, geography, culture, art, fine motor and problem-solving. Allow the child to discover the book freely and independently and at their own rhythm.
All of the pages of this quiet book are handmade. At the end of the book is a zipper pocket - a place for everything so there aren't loose pieces to keep track of when putting them away.
